Condition

Very decorative and in 'working order', although the hanging rail is currently detached. The cornice with some small replaced sections of moulding and traces of worm. The doors slightly warped but working and with very minor traces of worm and filler to some areas. The surface very good and it may be that this piece has been repolished. The applied giltwood decorative motifs and feet are good and could be later replacements or have been redecorated but do not detract. The interior with later stain but good, one backing board partially replaced. The impressive fret work and period key with soldered repairs. Generally in good, solid condition.
