inscribed on the base, 8.2cm, 3 1/4 in; a biography, 'Vie du dauphin', by Henri de l'Epinois, Paris, [1858], green leather binding gilt with fleurs-de-lis; a gilt-metal frame, oval surmounted by the French royal crown on a rectangular tortoiseshell spandrel with stand, width 18cm, 7 in; a leather photograph folder tooled with the cipher of Maria Pia, consort of Robert I, Duke of Parma, 19cm, 7 1/2 in; a suede pochette fastened by the orange enamelled cipher of Elie, Duke of Parma; a leather-bound woven silk pochette applied with the enamelled cipher of Archduke Frederick of Austria; a folding travelling leather frame containing photographs of 6 royal children, circa 1880; and a crowned leather-covered homœopathic kit , with hand-written instructions dated 1903
