10cm, 4in; a silver-mounted tortoiseshell casket, George Fox, London, 1893, in rocaille taste, with key, 15cm, 6in; a cased oval gold 'chronomètre', Movado, circa 1925, 5cm, 2in; a cased silver travelling timepiece, London, 1897, 10cm, 4in; two rectangular silver timepieces, 3.5 and 4.5cm, 1 3/8 and 1 3/4 in; a cased steel pedometer, 4cm, 1 5/8 in; and a dimpled rock crystal bell push with amethyst cabochon button, probably Austrian, circa 1900, 13cm, 5 1/8 in

Provenance

A silver panel on the tortoiseshell casket is engraved with the cipher of Archduchess Isabella, née Princess of Croy, (1856-1931) who had married Frederick, Archduke of Austria, Duke of Teschen, in 1878.

Condition

The singing bird box and timepieces are not currently in working order apart from the Movado watch which has a cracked dial at 4 o'clock. Both the exterior of the bird box and the silver of the tortoiseshell box would benefit from professional cleaning.
