Condition
The catalogue illustration is representative for the actual painting.
The canvas has an old effective relining. No damages are apparent. The figure appears well preserved. The paint surface is under a fairly clear layer of varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals some small scattered retouches in the table cloth, in the background upper left and right, some of which are inpaints of craquelure. Some minor strengthening is visible in the figure's dress and there are a few tiny retouches in her arms and face. The signature and date are later additions.
Offered in a decorative gilt wood frame in good condition.
