Condition
The actual painting is a little less yellow and somewhat softer in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The single panel is in overall good condition and bevelled along all sides.
No major damages are apparent. There's a minor horizontal surface scratch in the lower left corner. The paint layer appears in good condition and especially the impasto in the trees and sky is nicely preserved. A few small old retouchings can be made out in the sky. The paint surface is under a very dirty varnish. Inspection under UV light is partially impeded by the dirty varnish, but does reveal the old retouchings in the sky as mentioned above.
Overall, in good condition.
Offered in a decorative gilt plaster and wood frame in good condition.
