Description
- Laocoon and his sons
- bronze, on a white marble base

Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is good. There is some minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are a few minor lacunas and irregularities due to casting flaws consistent with material and place of production. There is an open joint at the proper right wrist of Laocoon. There are nicks to the ends of the loose hands of both sons and the right son's toes on the proper right foot, the tail of the serpent in Laocoon's hand and his proper left foot. A copper rod was soldered to the inside for mounting.
