Condition
Panel is flat and uncradled, but with two horizontal battens affixed to the reverse for support. there is a horizontal join that runs along top through foliage and sky, about four inches down from top edge. painting is under a dirty, discolored old varnish. there is generally very good retention of the paint surface with nice detail and coloration. under UV: some retouching can be see all along aforementioned join. there is also retouching along a small horizontal split in panel that runs from far right side in foliage and sky (about 3 inches below join). a few retouches here and there in foliage and some older retouching in sky and clouds at left side. painting could be hung as is, but a light cleaning and fresh varnish would probably be recommendable.
