The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com , an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. This charming work is very well preserved. The gilding may have been enhanced slightly around the perimeter but the painted area itself is conservatively restored and in very fresh condition. There are a few tiny worm holes and a few small insignificant losses. However, apart from some retouching in the red dress of the Madonna and in a few other isolated spots, we are happy to recommend the condition of all three panels and suggest that the work be presented as is.
