Giovanni Crivelli, detto Crivellino

The paintings are a little darker and cooler in tone than the catalogue illustrations. The paintings are offered in a modern metal frames in good condition. The canvases have old effective relinings which have not flattened the paint surfaces which are clean and appear to the naked eye to be in good condition, with a lovely paint surface. The painting with ducks has quite a pronounced but not unpleasant craquelure in the sky. Inspection under UV light reveals some retouchings to the back of the duck in some of the darker tones to the right of the neck and a small patch in the rabbit lower left. Very minor scattered retouchings flouresce in the other painting. Overall the paintings are in good condition and can hang now.
