  • il divano larg. cm 189
schienali estroflessi, gambe anteriori a colonnina, gambe posteriori a sciabola; cadute alla decorazione pittorica, mancanze e danni

Condition

Four chairs in better conditions because kept in main house bedroom with a sofa. The six in worst condition because stored in country house. All with the original silk cover but all with damages cuts, losses to the silk. All with woodworms throughout. All of them with a segments of cornices and bid and eals missing. All with losses to the relief carved leaves. All with join cracks of the back to the seat visible and in four chairs with a losses. The leaves on the back legs with losses chips and lacks to the gilding. Five with extensive losses to the leaves on the top rectangular panel at the top of the back. The sofa some situations of the chairs with extensive losses to the painting at the top of the back and supports. Some ,corners missing and the leaves on the legs lost on the left front leg and with losses on the other four legs.

Queste sedie sviluppano e reinterpretano il modello delle sedie milanesi realizzate, alla fine del secolo XVIII per il Palazzo Reale di Milano, illustrata da C. Alberici in Il mobile Lombardo, Milano, 1969, p. 238, e che possono essere messe in relazione con un progetto per poltrone dell'architetto Luigi Collonica (in op. cit., p. 237). Un set di sei sedie di forma simile, e con etichetta cartacea d'inventario iscritta Palazzo Reale di Milano..., รจ stato venduto da Sotheby's  Londra il 13 dicembre 2000, lotto n. 248, (fig. 1). Una coppia di poltrone e un set di quattro sedie con movimento analogo della fascia e delle gambe posteriori sono stati venduti rispettivamente a Sotheby's  Londra il 30 maggio 1997, lotto n. 219 e a Milano il primo dicembre 1999, lotto n. 866.
