- miniature cabinet
partially polychromed inlaid wood?? with partially gilt steel mounts
all'interno tiretti vari, sul retro il motto entro cartiglio: ' MORTE O MERCE'
Condition
La parte superiore con le normali irregolarità, imperfezioni e graffi.
L'esterno dall'anta con graffi e tacche più accentuate, leggere consinzioni al metallo e alla doratura dello stemma.
All'interno consunzioni e cadute alle cornici in legno dorato, cadute e lacune allo specchio al mercurio all'interno della calatoia.
Entrambe i fianchi con coppia di fori probabilmente punti di attacchi di maniglie oggi mancanti.
La base con pannello dipinto con motto con decorazione di superfice consunta, minime mancanze lignee e le normali imperfezioni.
Nell'insieme buone condizioni, il metallo sporco e con consunzioni normali per l'epoca.
Lo stemma dovrebbe riferirsi a Vespasiano I Gonzaga (1531-1591) figlio di Isabella Colonna e di Luigi Gonzaga 'Rodomonte' (1500-1532).
Vespasiano I Gonzaga fu l'ideatore e il fondatore della città perfetta di Sabbioneta.
