Etchings with aquatint, drypoint and engraving, 1810-1820, 23 plates from the first edition of 1863, with title and biographical essay, very good impressions in dark sepia, printing with clarity and warm tone, on sturdy wove paper, many with J.G.O or Palmette watermark

Condition

This set contains the following plates: H. 122, 126, 129, 131-133, 135-136, 138-150, 156, 197, with margins, the subjects in good condition, the sheets numbered in biro in right corners, diagonal folds in right corners of several sheets, paper discoloration (mainly along edges of sheets) and occasional very small nicks and paper losses at the outer edges of sheets, a few sheets with uneven staining verso, scattered fox marks, occasional soft creasing to the margins, loose with remains of old binding along left edge of sheet, unframed.
