Engraving, circa 1495, a Meder b-c impression with the vertical scratches in the sky and the small cross to the left of the Virgin's face still clearly visible, on paper with the Imperial Orb watermark (M. 56, dated circa 1495-1530)

Condition

Trimmed approximately 1mm within the subject on all sides, the lower left corner made up and retouched with pen and ink, with touches of pale ink wash in the Virgin's right hand and hair to the left of her face, three small plugged holes in upper left and right corners, other minor defects, unframed.
