An extremely rare woodcut printed in black, green and blue with traces of red crayon in upper figure, 1899, signed in pencil, inscribed Handgedruckt, on beige wove paper

Condition

With wide margins, the image in good condition, margins previously folded under (circa 15cm at left, 21cm at right and 6,5cm at lower edge of sheet), creases in margins, a vertical tear in upper margin (circa 5,7cm, just outside the image), a diagonal crease (measuring from upper margin across the image, circa 51cm), mainly visible verso, two printer's creases in the rocks and shore, mainly visible verso (measuring circa 18,5cm and 7cm), other short tears and minor defects along edges of sheet consistent with an artist's proof of this size, unframed.
