Provenance

Appropriated by the Reale Accademia delle Belle Arti in Venezia between 1807-1814 and subsequently released onto the art market.

Condition

The support consist of a single stable panel with a slight hint of an old convex bow and an old vertical split running down the middle. The paint surface is in good condition and under a dirty old varnish which impedes thorough inspection under UV light, although some scattered minor old retouchings, most notably on the aforementioned split, can be discerned. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame in good condition.
