PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in very good condition, with no apparent signs of damage or loss of paint.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals some minor strengthening in the upper section of the picture, in the sky and at the edges of the canvas. Otherwise there does not appear to be any signs of retouching.
FRAME
Held in a gilded wooden frame.
