Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has an old lining. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in good condition. There is retouching to an old tear i the lower right, aprox three inches long vertically, and to another, smaller old tear in the upper left. There is a layer of dirt and discoloured varnish overall. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light confirms a small number of scattered further minor retouchings and confirms the condition mentioned above. FRAME Held in a gold painted wooden frame.
