Provenance

The Artist's sale, London, Christie's, 8-15 May 1874, to the grandfather of the late owner  

Condition

The medium has remained clear and fresh in this work. The paper has however discoloured and there is scattered foxing and occasional surface dirt. There are two repaired tears in the sheet, one measuring circa 55 mm, located at the upper top edge, and the second located in the lower right hand corner, measuring circa 60 mm. This work has not been laid down, instead it is attached to a back-board at various points verso. We would recommend viewing this work before bidding.
