Condition

The pigments have faded slightly in this watercolour. The paper has suffered from light staining and at the extreme edges of the sheet there is evidence of mount-staining. Further to this at the edges of the sheet there are several areas of pigment loss and some remains of a previous mount. These defects can only be seen when the work is unframed. The sheet has been laid down.
