Condition

This watercolour has been well preserved and carefully presented. Although some of the more delicate watercolour pigments have faded slightly, the image remains well balanced and clear. There is some occasional very minor surface dirt to the sheet and a minor stain can be seen at the upper top right hand corner. In the sky, towards the upper centre of the composition, there is a small area of restoration. This can only be seen on very close inspection. Along the extreme lower edge of the sheet there is some very minor pigment loss. The sheet has not been laid down.
