Catalogue Note

This drawing was most probably made in connection with the Abbé de Saint-Non's Voyage pittoresque ou Description historique des Royaumes de Naples et Sicile, which was published in five volumes between 1781 and 1786, extensively illustrated with engravings after drawings by Fragonard, Robert, Desprez, Hoüel and Châtelet.
