Condition
The actual painting is lighter and more open than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas is laid down on an older oak panel, which has cracked a little under the centre, as can be seen in the catalogue illustration. There are some tiny paint losses due to this, but furthermore no major damages are apparent. Inspection under UV light reveals tiny retouchings in the figures, the foreground and along the edges and the crack and some in the sky. Offered in a carved and giltwood frame, chips.
