STRUCTURE
The canvas is un-lined and in good condition. There is one small patch, verso.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in very good condition, with no apparent extant damage or loss of paint. There is a faint mark along the inner stretcher edge.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered minor retouching, predominantly to two areas in the distant landscape, centre right and centre left.
FRAME
Held in a twentieth century wooden frame with a gilded inner edge.
