Condition
The canvas has been relined.
The painting's surface is uneven due to a pronounced craquelure running throughout the work. This appears to have been secured by the varnish layer, though there is a very small area of old lifting to the blue and yellow lily at centre and some minor old scattered restored paint losses lower left.
The paint surface is dirty and somewhat flat, though the detail of the work appears well-preserved.
Proper inspection under UV light is impeded due to the reflective varnish covering the work, though the aforementioned retouchings do fluoresce.
Offered in a gilt wood frame with plaster mouldings in fair condition.
