Acquired by the great-great-great uncle of the present owner, possibly at the above sale and no later than the 1920s;
Thence by descent.

Condition

The support consists of a single stable flat panel bevelled on all four edges. The paint surface is secure if a little abraded in the darks and under and uneven varnish which impedes thourough inspection under UV light. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame structurally sound but with some minor losses.
