Condition

The canvas is lined. The surface of the work is in overall very good condition. There is craquelure throughout. Under UV; There is some inpainting in the face of the subject and some to the left and the right of the subject.

The attribution of this painting has been confirmed by the National Museum of Stockholm on October 6, 1930. 

Included with this painting is a confirmation by Gustavus Adolphus that Johan the first Baron of Hasselgren was appointed gentleman of the King's bedchamber on December 9, 1802.
