The sheet is sound, undulating slightly, and is not laid down but adhered to the backing along the upper edge. The left edge of the sheet is deckled and there are artist's pinholes in the upper corners. There are a few specks of studio detritus, but generally the work is in good overall condition with strong colours throughout. The beginning of the inscription on the reverse which is written in pink chalk has bled through slightly to the front, but this is not visible in the current mount. Held under glass in a gilt plaster frame with a cream mount. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
