Condition

The board is sound. There are a few minor surface abrasions in the upper right quadrant, towards the right edge. There is a small spot of paint loss along the right-hand side of the lower edge, below the long thin, rectangular shape. The surface is slightly dirty otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. Under ultraviolet light there are a few small spots of fluorescene across the surface but these appear to relate to discolourations to the varnish. Held in a gilt plaster frame. Please telephone the department on 0207 293 6424 if you have any questions about the present work.
