Condition
The painting is in good condition, as is the canvas. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals no indication of retouching. There are faint stretcher marks around the perimeter and some fine craquelures on the lower margins, near the edges, but the paint layers and impastos are well-preserved.
The colours of the actual painting are brighter than the catalogue illustration.
