The emerald-cut sapphire weighing 20.36 carats, flanked by modified shield step-cut diamonds weighing 1.71 and 1.70 carats, size 5¾.
Condition
Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 45268 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, no gemological evidence of heat. and by GRS report no. GRS2011-031173 (Award No. 653) stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, GRS type 'royal blue', no indications of thermal treatment. Together with an appenidx to Platinum Award No. 653 stating that the sapphire is a 'Rare combination of over 20 carats, color variety (GRS type 'royal blue') and spared of thermal enhancement.' The sapphire is a medium deep royal blue with strong saturation. There is some minor silk visible to the unaided eye at some angles and a fingerprint-like inclusion is visible under magnification.
The diamonds are accompanied by GIA report no. 2131342772 stating that the 1.71 carat diamond is D color, VS1 clarity, and GIA report no. 2131342766 stating that the 1.70 carat diamond is E color, VVS1 clarity. In very good condition.
