Description
- Georges Fouquet
- platinum, rock crystal, diamond, enamel, necklace
The frosted pear-shaped rock crystal drop surmounted by a diamond-set arrowhead cap, suspended by a frosted rock crystal hoop, accented by rose-cut diamond band connectors bordered by black enamel, completed by frosted elongated rock crystal beads, length 25 inches, maker's mark, French assay mark.
Condition
Good condition with minute abrading to the rock crystal and gentle surface wear to the mountings; more significant wear to the undersides of diamond-set connectors where the white metal plating wears thin to expose a yellow gold base. Enamel remains in good condition. The diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. Please note that the mounting is 18 karat white gold, not platinum, as stated in the catalogue. There is a French assay mark for 18 karat gold and a workshop mark.
