Catalogue Note
The firm Dreicer & Co., originally J. Dreicer & Son, made its first appearance at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis. In the brand's short 20 years of production, Dreicer & Co. became well known for its consummate workmanship in platinum and diamonds, rivalling the Parisian workshops of the period. Dreicer was the first American jeweler to introduce the latest fancy stone cuts from Paris, as evidenced by the lozenge-shaped emeralds in this wristwatch.
