Set at the center with an oval ruby weighing 10.78 carats, framed by 14 natural pearls measuring approximately 6.9 to 6.3 mm., and old mine, rose-cut and old European-cut diamonds, supporting three pendants set with old mine and old European-cut diamonds and 3 pearl drops measuring 13.5 by 8.8 mm. to 10.78 by 10.31 mm., completed by an eight strand necklace composed of natural pearls measuring approximately 4.7 to 3.3 mm., spaced by gold bars set with round diamonds, total diamond weight approximately 11.25 carats, length 12¾ inches.

Condition

Accompanied by AGL report CS 46676 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, heat enhancement: none. Also accompanied by GIA report no. 1142015677 stating predominantly natural pearls, predominantly saltwater. The ruby is a slightly purplish red of medium tone and is included. It has a few fine cracks and a few small nicks/ chips visible under magnification. The diamonds in the central ornament are approximately G-J color and VS-I clarity. The round pearls in the central ornament are creamy white with satin luster, the 3 pearl drops are very light gray color with some wrinkling visible under magnification. The pearls in the necklace are creamy white with medium luster, slightly out of round but well matched. The diamonds in the spacer bars are modern brilliants of approximately G-H color and predominantly VS clarilty. The necklace is a composite made of antique elements in the center, completed by strands of pearls and diamond spacers added at a later date. Could use re-stringing.
