Very attractive Gem-set and diamond sautoir/brooch, 1920s

The geometric plaque set with single- and brilliant-cut diamonds, decorated with calibré-cut amethysts, rubies, sapphires and emeralds, suspending from a fine chain millegrain set with similar stones, measuring approximately 407mm from clasp to bottom of pendant, French assay marks, the plaque may be detached and worn as a brooch.

Metal tested as platinum. Diamond mixed in cut, estimated to weigh approximately 5.80 carats, generally H-J colour, VS-SI clarity. Coloured gem-stones well matched in colour, with minor nicks, chips and abrasion. The plaque could be worn as a brooch, brooch fitting is present, screw driver is deficient. Delicate piece of jewellery. Scratches commensurate with use and age. In good condition.
