Ruby and diamond ring

Centring on an oval ruby weighing 10.63 carats, the surrounds and shoulders set with brilliant-cut and pear-shaped diamonds, mounted in yellow gold, size 53, indistinctly numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Numerous typical crystal inclusions noticeable to the naked eye, some are surface reaching especially on the pavilion. For further information please refer to the Gübelin report. Inscribed Bts 3.91 probably indicating the brilliant-cut diamond weight and 3.61, probably indicating the pear-shaped diamond weight, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity. Signs of minor wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
