Two pairs of sapphire and diamond earrings, 1960s

Comprising: a pair of earrings of swirl design, each centrally set with a cabochon sapphire accented with smaller similarly shaped stones, brilliant- and single-cut diamonds; together with a pair of earrings of cluster design, each centring on a cabochon sapphire bordered by brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, post and clip fittings.

The larger pair of ear clips numbered 6173, post fittings. The smaller pair with clip and post fittings. Sapphires overall well matched in colour, a few typical crystal inclusions visible under close inspection, few scratches and nicks and abrasion. The central cabochon stones on the larger pair with a closed back setting. Diamonds bright and lively. Larger pair with pendant fittings. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with age, traces of repair to the smaller pair. In good condition.
