Ruby and diamond demi-parure, Cartier, 1920s

Comprising: a bracelet designed as a row of calibré-cut rubies bordered by single-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, length approximately 170mm, together with a pair of earrings en suite, not illustrated, all signed Cartier or Cartier Paris and numbered, bracelet with French assay marks.

Ruby of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Bracelet: Signed Cartier Paris and numbered 0158 CG 23348. French assay marks for platinum. One single-cut diamond probably later replaced by a brilliant-cut stone. Earrings: Signed Cartier and numbered 14238. Rubies medium purplish red, well matched in colour. Typical crystal inclusions visible to the naked eye and to a further extent under magnification, a few are surface reaching. Flexible, secure clasp with safety catch to under side. Scratches to mount consistent with wear. In good condition.
