Description
- platinum, diamond and aquamarine
Set with a mixed-cut octagonal aquamarine embellished with circular-cut diamonds to either side, suspending two pear-shaped aquamarine drops highlighted with cushion-shaped, circular-cut and rose diamonds, mounted in platinum, signed Cartier, made in France, French assay and partial maker's marks.
Condition
French marks for platinum. Signed Cartier and partial maker's marks. Hinged pendant bail. Principal aquamarine measuring 26.7 x 20.4 x 15.5mm a few small nicks, the drops measuring approximately 22.0 x 14.6 x 11.9mm and 23.8 x 14.9 x 10.6mm with several small nicks, loupe clean. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.00 to 3.50 carats, estimated colour H-J, estimated clarity VS-SI on average. Safety catch to pin, hinged pendant fitting allowing the brooch to be worn as a pendant. Scratches to mount consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
