Description
- jadeite, diamond and gold
- Plaque approximately 26.41 x 45.05 x 2.73mm.
The translucent jadeite plaque of deep emerald green colour, carved as an old Chinese junk boat, decorated by a frame set with baguette and circular-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: Accompanied by Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory report stating that the carved jadeite plaque is natural, Type A Jadeite Jade. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the jadeite plaque has good transluceny, of strong green colour. Upon transmitted lighting, there are some clouds and minor brownish stains, not noticeable in normal lighting. Diamonds together weighing approximately 1.20 carats, are about G to I colours, VS to SI1 clarity.
Condition: Art Deco brooch, there are surface abrasions to both the mount and stones, commensurating with its age, overall in good condition.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment. Please check with the specialist department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to these import restrictions, or any other restrictions on importation or exportation.
