Condition

This painting is unlined and is on a strainer. Buckling of the canvas is particularly visible in the upper quadrants. Craquelure is visible throughout the work. There is paint loss to all four corners and along each edge of the painting. This work is evenly varnished. Under ultraviolet inspection, in-painting is present, particularly in the pedestal upon which the Virgin is placed. Overall, this work is in good condition.
