Condition

The sculpture is in very good condition. The paint on the steel wires is tightly bound with no losses evident. The wire composition rests securely on the two threaded bolts which are attached to the stainless steel base. One of the connecting points between the bottom of the wire composition and the threaded rod was loose and has recently been reinforced to prevent it from moving. The connecting point in question is on the PR side when looking at the wire composition with the ends of the wires protruding outward. The stainless steel base has a polished reflective surface that is in very good condition. There is minor pitting in the stainless steel that is inherent to the base. There is a shallow ¼" scratch on the top of the base near the edge and a 1" long shallow scratch on one of the short sides of the base. Great care should be taken when handling the artwork as it is very fragile. This condition report has been provided courtesy of Wilson Conservation.
