  • Height: 9 3/8 inches
the base of the slender tapered blade cast in relief with a triangular mask with flared horns flanking a crest in the form of an inverted cicada motif, the socket with a taotie mask in intaglio intended for inlay, encrusted with green patina with flaked areas showing the underlying brown cuprite 

Condition

One horn on on side has broken off and is missing. There are some traces of the inlay on one side of the intaglio design. The bklade bears extensive encrustation on both sides.
