the deep body raised on three tall splayed knife-shaped legs, cast around the body with stylised taotie masks with prominent eyes on a fine leiwen ground, the spout flanked by a pair of capped finials, the side set with a loop handle covering a pictogram, the pale green patina with areas of malachite encrustation

The spout broken out of the neck where it joins the body and one finial adjoining the spout broken off and reattached.
