the waisted cylindrical form with wide trumpet mouth, cast around the central section with a pair of taotie masks in low relief divided by flanges on an intricate leiwen ground, all between double raised filets, the splayed, hollow foot with further panels of taotie masks bisected by notched flanges, the surface an even dark silvery color

The vessel appears to be in overall good condition. The rim is slightly warped.
