Condition

The canvas is not lined and has been hand-sewn to a black canvas border. A close examination reveals three minor stains, visible in the catalogue illustration, below the central 'M' as well as some scattered media marks inherent to the artistic process. There is no evidence of retouching visible under UV light. This work is in very good original condition.

Catalogue Note

signed 'Miró', dated '1944' and titled 'femmes, oiseaux, étoile' on the reverse, gouache and India ink on canvas. Executed in 1944.
