Condition
The paper is laid down on canvas. A close examination reveals two 1cm long hairline craquelures running vertically down from the upper edge. There is no evidence of retouching visible under UV light. This work is in excellent condition.

"Après la guerre, la joie et la liberté recouvrée, la palette se transfigure et anime la succession grandiose des Ateliers. Les ultimes natures mortes incorporant la palette deviennent de purs joyaux d'amateurs aux accords raffinés comme 'Bouquet et Palette'. Il y a correspondance ou mieux complicité totale entre la palette et sa gerbe de couleurs et les couleurs vivantes incarnées par les fleurs."
