Condition
This canvas has a wax lining. The picture surface is in generally good condition. Under UV, there are a few small areas of inpainting, namely half way along the top edge and in the right side of the sitters neck. Under UV, there is a large vertical and horizontal repainting at the top of the sitter's hand, possibly to address a previous tear.
