Condition
The picture surface is in generally good condition. The artist's pinhole is barely visible at the top center of the work. The impasto is still fresh and very heavy, with very minor losses evident in the red cow's belly and rear right leg. Under UV, the glazes and pigments are still active but there are no apparent signs of inpainting.
