Black patina. There a few minor scratches to the patina, mostly at the edges of the relief on the top and bottom edges (not visible from the front). There is a tiny surface nick at the extreme right of the rightmost figure. Plaster residue is visible throughout. A chain is mounted to the work at two places on the rear for purposes of hanging/display. Overall the work is in excellent condition.
