Condition

Canvas is not lined. Surface bears an extremely thick and textured impasto that is excellently preserved. A nail-head sized puncture is present at the upper left corner of the canvas. The artist's pinholes appear at the extreme corners of the piece, as well as at the center of the right and lower edges. A hairline surface scratch of approximately one inch is visible at the extreme upper right corner. Some scattered areas of pigment shrinkage are visible, mostly in areas of black paint, and particularly in regions with the least built-up paint. There are thin cracks in a few areas of the thickest pigments. Additionally, there are a few areas of minor surface dirt. Under UV light: no inpainting is apparent. Overall the work is in good condition.
